About me

Hi I’m Kelsey! I’m a certified Integrative Health Practitioner for women. I was born in Michigan, grew up in Washington, and now live in northern Spain, in a small province called Asturias. For a long time, I struggled with cystic acne, constipation, period pain, anxiety, depression, and chronic inflammation. I thought this was normal—I thought it was just ‘a part of being a woman’. I also didn’t realize that so much of my health had been impacted and influenced by my past with unhealed trauma.

When I was a toddler, my parents were not always present. I spent months at a time living with my grandmother because my mom was too busy working. I grew resentment towards her as a child. Throughout high school, I witnessed my parents fight a lot, verbally and physically. Eventually, my father left, moved States, and remarried. My mom had to carry the burden of providing for 4 children, my grandma, and 2 of my cousins who immigrated from Hong Kong. Around the 2nd year of college, my mom got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I spent my college days struggling between completing homework and being her physical care taker. Then summer of 2014, she passed away. Depression then hit me hard in the years following my graduation.

My real healing journey began when I found Christ in the midst of some of my hardest battles in 2016, recovering from my mother’s passing, dealing with a breakup, and battling depression and panic attacks. I was invested in holistic healing from a young age and always did my best to have a healthy lifestyle, but healing didn’t truly begin until Christ saved me.

I did all the things—dieting, researching, bio-hacking, etc. I even did advanced level Crossfit training at one point. Eventually, I became a certified fitness coach in 2019 so I could help people improve their health. Soon after, I became certified as a health and nutrition coach. Then early 2021, I decided to further my education by becoming a certified Integrative Health Practitioner to provide more data-driven, root-cause solutions for my clients. But something pivoted for me. The Holy Spirit revealed a huge area in my life that needed renewal and revealed to me a gap in the world of functional medicine—which is healing unresolved trauma and emotional roots.

We live in a past paced, unforgiving, masculine society. As Christ began working in my heart and transforming my life, I realized that there was a need and urge to return to rest and restoring our femininity, the way God designed us.

Fast forward, I am now running a virtual Christ-centered, trauma-informed, holistic wellness practice, leading and empowering women from around the world to take initiative in their health to find whole healing and optimal living, all while glorifying Christ for the work He’s already done.

Approach

Women’s health is a very nuanced topic and an ever-evolving one. With so much information now being spread across channels and social media, it has become very difficult to discern and understand what it is that our body needs.

Our philosophy in healing is all about simplicity--offering ease and clarity to help our clients overcome what already feels overwhelming. We know how frustrating it can be to be left without answers or be given 'band-aid solutions', which is why it is our promise to always put our clients first and provide the support that will help them make sustainable and achievable results in their health.

We take on an integrative, root cause approach that considers all facets of an individual’s life, including their faith, trauma, and bio-individuality. The foundations of wellness in our practice include nourishment, refinement, and surrender—encompassing various modalities such as nutrition, targeted supplementation, Functional Lab Testing, somatic therapy techniques, prayer, and other holistic practices to help my clients achieve their health goals.

Kelsey has used this biblical and integrative approach to resolve various patient health concerns including: hormonal acne, IBS, Lyme disease, Hypothyroidism, heavy metal toxicity, Copper IUD removal (copper toxicity), bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), Candida, and more.
